The world map in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim doesn’t stop with Skyrim itself. The game also contains the landmasses of other provinces of Tamriel, including Morrowind and Cyrodiil.
Morrowind is accessible via a mysterious archway in the southeast of Skyrim, past Stendarr’s Beacon. The game won’t let you pass, but by turning on no-clip, it’s possible to wander partway into mainland Morrowind and see landmarks like Vvanrdenfell’s Red Mountain or Cyrodiil’s White Gold Tower in the distance.
The textures start to fade as you get further in, but the landmasses have definitely been built.
Is Bethesda planning to open Morrowing in an upcoming Skyrim DLC, or is there some other reason they went to the trouble to create all these details in a closed area of the game?
Bustler’s annual Zombie Safe House Design Competition recently concluded, and the winner this year was the ‘Vagabond Mobile Safe House Device’ by Austin Fleming.
Features include a reflective photovoltaic surface (zombies don’t attack other zombies), portable (can be carried like a backpack), water filtration, wind-powered ventilation system and a tracking unit that’s iPhone compatible.
Sounds far fetched, but it just might end up saving your ass from a zombie horde one day.
